Early Musical Passion
Cartee’s creative journey started with a deep love for music, fostered while playing drums at his church in Madison, GA. His fascination with the engineering side of music blossomed during studio sessions, steering him towards a career in the field.
Taking the Leap
Despite working 9-5 jobs, Cartee always knew music was his calling. A pivotal moment occurred when a coworker, Mrs. Debra, recognized his talents and urged him to pursue music full-time. This marked the turning point, prompting Cartee to take a leap of faith.
Mission and Recognition
His mission now is to elevate the importance of engineers, often overlooked and undercredited. Cartee emphasizes the equal significance of artists, producers, and engineers. His accolades include multiple producer of the year awards, gold and platinum records, and collaborations with industry giants.
Current Projects
Cartee is currently immersed in projects like Ybn Nahmir’s Album, 300Lbs of Guwop’s EP, and various artist singles. Collaborations with Street Empire and Drumma Jai showcase his versatility. Despite working with almost every industry artist, he aspires to collaborate with Andre 3000 and Kanye.
Future Aspirations
Looking ahead, Cartee envisions Grammys, Number 1 albums, and the release of more singles. Notably, he is building a new studio in Madison, GA, dedicated to mixing and mastering projects for artists.
