In November 2015, fresh out of college, Alexa Fasulo found herself in New York City, disenchanted with a public relations job she despised. Originally making a modest $200 monthly, Fasulo’s breakthrough came in February 2016 when she awoke to over 30 orders on Fiverr. Devoting genuine time and effort to the platform, she expanded services, including blog and article editing starting at $5. Fasulo’s turning point arrived when she listed nine new services one night, including press-release writing. Overnight, orders poured in, exceeding her expectations.
Making over $100 in a single day, Fasulo transitioned from a struggling New Yorker to earning enough to cover rent and living expenses within a month. The rapid success caught her off guard, and she recalls being ill-equipped for the time management skills required in this new lifestyle. By 2016, Fasulo grossed $33,000 from Fiverr. Not stopping there, she entered the realm of Fiverr Pro in 2017, targeting serious business buyers and elite peers, propelling her earnings to an impressive $81,000.
In 2018, Fasulo shattered expectations, surpassing the six-figure line with over $150,000 in earnings and nearly 5,000 fulfilled orders. Reflecting on her journey, Fasulo marvels at the unexpected life transformation Fiverr provided. What began as a side hustle turned into a career where she could work from home, make her schedule, and earn a significant income.
